We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Allison Kaz (Casting Producer), Brandon Nickens (Co Casting Producer) and Casting Directors Holland Striplin, Jodi Thomas, Marc Levine, DJ Feldman, Barbara Wulff, Jane Livshin and Rita Koutsoulis who are currently working on The Biggest Loser Season 10. The casting directors took a moment out of their day to speak with RealityWanted.com about some of the do's and don'ts when applying to casting calls and attending a open casting call. A couple of the pointers they had were:

 

-Be yourself, basically act like you are when you are out with your friends.

-Don't try to copy past cast members from a show, just be you.

-Have fun when you meet us, show us who you are and don't be afraid to be you.

-We know that meeting a casting director at an open call can be intimidating but don't freeze up. You only have a couple minutes to show us who you are so make it count.

-Show us what makes you unique. Why should we pick you for the show and how are you different from other people applying.

-When applying to a casting call make sure you are truly passionate about it and want it more than anything.

-When attending an open call make sure to bring a picture of yourself and make sure to label it with your name and phone number.

-When putting together a video tape submission, make sure you show us who you are, just don't tell us, show us!
