A major event in my life was:
In 2004, just 1 week before my birthday, my mom woke up w/dibilitating numbness on her right side. An x-ray discovered an abnormal brain tumor. It wasn't cancer, in fact, the doctors couldn't identify it for weeks. They began steroid treatment, buying time for a diagnosis. As the days ticked by, our entire family began questioning everything. How would we live without her? The process changed me. In the end, Mom survived & she was only the 101st person in the world w/ the mysterious tumor.
